This study aims to shed light on one of the most serious crimes that threaten
environmental security in general and human life in particular—namely,
environmental crime. This offense is marked by distinctive features that set it
apart from traditional crimes, whether in terms of its inherent nature, the
gravity of its consequences, or the means and techniques used in its
commission. These particularities have compelled many legal systems,
including the Algerian legal framework, to enact specific legislative texts to
combat this category of crime. The Algerian legislator adopted this approach
through Law No. 03-10 of 19 July 2003 on the protection of the
environment within the framework of sustainable development. This law
includes the most important substantive provisions related to environmental
crime and is aligned with the principles established by international
conventions aimed at combating such offenses. Additionally, it draws upon
the general provisions of the Algerian Penal Code, while also introducing
specialized procedural rules—particularly regarding the role of judicial police
authorities, the process of establishing criminal liability, and attributing
responsibility to either natural or legal persons. The ultimate objective is to
enforce the legally prescribed penalties, whether criminal (principal or
complementary) or administrative in nature.

James Gordon Farrell is frequently regarded as one of the most important authors of
colonial British literature. In this thesis, examines Farrell’s position as a postcolonial
writer and his connection to the issues of imperialism and colonialism. The thesis seeks
to explore the many aspects of postcolonial literature present in the trilogy by analysing
the master/subaltern relationship through the use of humour and the silence of native
characters in the three novels. Farrell uses humour in the Empire Trilogy to visualize the
other in two ways: as an Oriental inferior other to maintain his conventional traditional
image, and as a Western superior other who makes fun of and undervalues the
indigenous. The main argument of this thesis is that Farrell’ Empire Trilogy defies all
kinds of restrictive classification. To call Farrell and his works either colonial or
anticolonial is to fix him in one category and thus to half-read him. Due to his mixed
background, both his works and his life represent a hybrid identity. The theoretical
framework is based on Homi K Bhabha’s analysis of the intricate relationship between
the identities of the colonizer and the colonized. A thematic reading of The Empire
Trilogy shows that though the three novels differ in setting, they all discusses how
postcolonial points of view are opposed when British characters are living in a colony,
and debates the question of how such colony is perceived and represented. Finally, it is
argued that a postcolonial approach which focuses on the issue of diversity and
hybridity of the colonial subject contributes in enriching our understanding of Farrell’s
complex situation and his relationship with Imperialism.

The present work consists in the elaboration and the characterization of TiO2 thin
films by sol-gel method. Particular attention is paid to the influence of temperatures,
the annealing atmosphere, the thickness, the nature of the substrates and doping with
Fe element on the different structural, morphological, optical, dielectric and chemical
properties.
The different samples are characterized by the X-ray diffraction (XRD), atomic
force microscopy (AFM), Raman spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, spectroscopic
ellipsometry, UV-Visible spectroscopy, m-lines spectroscopy and hydrophilic
measurements.
The structural study shows that the crystallization of the films occurs for critical
thicknesses. The thermal annealing under various atmospheres (air and oxygen) and
the presence of buffer layers between the TiO2 film and the substrate are important
factors affecting the formation and improving the structure of anatase and rutile
phases. The phase transformation anatase-rutile occurs at high temperature (800°C).
The SnO2 interfacial layer and the high doping level (7% at.) have the effect of
decreasing the temperature of this transformation.
The morphological study shows, in general, a uniform growth with relatively
low roughness, which bodes the optical quality of the films obtained.
The optical study shows that the values of the refractive indices derived using the
sem-infinite, Fourouhi-Bloomer and EMA models are in good agreement with those
of the literature. The study of the optical gap obtained by spectroscopic ellipsometry
and the UV-visible spectroscopy reveals some variation depending on various
parameters. The waveguiding measurements show that TiO2 films deposited directly
on the glass behave as single-mode waveguides in the two polarizations (TM and TE).
When SnO2 and ZnO films are used as buffer layers, we note the disappearance of
TM modes.
The dielectric study shows that the approach based on the Kramers-Kronig
analysis and Maxwell's equations is proved acceptable in comparison with other
known models.
The analysis of wetting water shows the super-hydrophilicity of TiO2/verre and
TiO2/(ZnO/glass) samples.

This work provides a new diagnosis method for broken bar and mixed air gap eccentricity faults in the closed loop control of a squirrel cage induction motor. The closed loop system is widely used in industrial applications due to the efficiency of the variables of the regulator outputs for diagnosis because it directly shows the action of the control. The regulator will continue to force the controlled variables to the reference value, resulting in a decrease in the magnitude of the diagnostic indicators and a loss of information critical for detecting faults that cause a motor disaster. This work Based on the direct stator current fault signature as well as the speed fault signature to return the real magnitude of the fault diagnosis indices without affecting the indirect field control. Furthermore, the real magnitude is used to compensate for the fault magnitude and to obtain a machine operating in a healthy state. Using the discrete Fourier transformation. The transfer function is utilized to find the analytical expression of the measured electrical and mechanical parameters at both conditions. The fault signature and error of the torque are used to compensate for the fault signature speed, torque, and quadrature stator current. The simulation and experiment results are included to verify the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis.
