dc.description.abstract |
This thesis aims to study by numerical simulation the instabilities of flow around obstacles in Both Laminar and Turbulent Regimes with heat transfer. First, the successive stages of the transition in the flow around a rotating cylinder are analysed numerically. The rotation effects can amplify, maintain or attenuate the instability modes that appear inherently in the flow. The turbulence modeling at high Reynolds number was studied by statistical approaches and validated for the same configuration, rotating cylinder.
Finally, a three dimensional numerical study of a turbulent flow downstream of a horizontal circular cylinder submitted to a transverse air flow in the presence of significant buoyancy effects, was dealt in the present thesis. |
