Résumé:
Community detection represents a highly promising area of research; however,
the analysis of networks characterized by multiple types of relationships called
multilayer networks remains underexplored, presenting significant opportunities
for advancement. Given the diverse range of approaches aimed at uncovering
community structures in this field, a systematic review of recent developments
is essential. While substantial progress has been made across various
disciplines, numerous research avenues remain ripe for exploration. This paper
provides an overview of the different types of multilayer networks and their
applications in real-world contexts. Additionally, we discuss the challenges
inherent in this field and propose potential research directions to enhance
community detection methodologies and their effectiveness in multilayer
networks.
